Despite some of these still measuring up ok, he’s way down on last seasons xAG and SCA/90 - Saka’s probably the biggest reason but he’s been starting slow in a lot of games (not to mention the finishing delta)

My favourite was when some were saying Saliba was more threatening than Gabriel ahead of the 23/24 season, despite the xG.
Imagine holding that view now 😂

(Gabriel had underperformed towards the end of 22/23 and Saliba had outperformed)

I think Arteta will start him every league game over Xmas if he can but the xMuscle injury is high - 2/3 weeks out in October and taken off vs Liverpool for similar issues
