honestly so glad I'm leaving the US. There are awesome people here whom I love, but I bet that's true everywhere, and at least other places have healthcare

The No Kings "protests" are performative activism. If a "protest" has city permits, designated start and stop times, and police escorts, it's a parade, not a protest. It's a state-approved pressure release valve so you can feel good about "doing something", while ensuring you do absolutely nothing.

It’s interesting how prostate cancer has double the prevalence of breast cancer with a nearly identical risk of death from the disease, yet you never hear about it. I wonder why that is.

I liked this response I wrote earlier, so sharing it here. A woman was questioning her sexuality - unsure if she was bisexual or a lesbian or straight. She has crushes on men, but never on women, and when she tries to crush on women, she experiences it as "boring" or less appealing.

Gandhi existed during a time when there wasn’t rampant misinformation and propaganda IV dripped into the rotting brains of millions of Americans 24/7. And appealing to empathy only works on people who have empathy.
We’re in a moment now where it would be worth people taking three hours to watch Gandhi, particularly the scene of the salt march. There is value to making the brutality of your opponent so plain as day that no one can argue with it. The clarity of that brought down an empire

I also think it’s really interesting this cishet white woman BILLIONAIRE that the gays love for some reason is using homoeroticism as a prop to humiliate and belittle another straight woman. It is nothing short of homophobia. Taylor has never been an ally. We are props to inflate her ego.
