On August 24th, at approximately 7 p.m., #WestVanPolice received reports of a serious MVI in the southbound lanes of the #SeaToSky.

West Van Police is warning residents of a scam utilizing WVPD’s non-emergency phone number.

Fraudsters 'spoofing' WVPD non-emergency line and posing as police officers. Victims are told they are speaking to a WVPD officer and are provided with a fake name and badge number.
Throughout the summer months, #WestVanPolice have stepped up targeted enforcement in a busy public area in #WestVan.

The “West Vancouver Waterfront Crime Reduction Project – 2025” focuses on high-risk individuals and key locations to enhance public safety and reduce violent crime.

At approximately 12:10 p.m. today, WVPD received reports of a single-vehicle collision near Pound Road in West Van. Tragically, the lone occupant of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.

It’s important to respect the signage and pavement markings: the bus lanes are for buses and motorcycles only-not EVs, HOVs, Ubers, taxis, nor those in a hurry.
Few issues aggravate #WestVan & #NorthVan residents more than queue jumpers on the #LionsGateBridge
