Thieves stole a bait car and its gift-wrapped contents, just to end up with their own copy of the Criminal Code.

We helpfully earmarked the page of the law they were breaking, section 334 (b), but their apparent disappointment led them to toss it into the bushes

WVPD Seeks Witnesses to Dangerous Driving on Sea to Sky Highway

On October 30th, 2025, at 9:04 p.m., a #WestVanPolice officer recorded a 2005 white Chrysler 300C driving westbound at 194 km/hr. The driver twice fled police before being stopped by a spikebelt.

West Van Police is warning residents of a scam utilizing WVPD’s non-emergency phone number.

Fraudsters 'spoofing' WVPD non-emergency line and posing as police officers. Victims are told they are speaking to a WVPD officer and are provided with a fake name and badge number.
