Oi oi! Now, where's my glass? I misplaced it knee sliding.
whiskytip.bsky.social
So true. Will be cracked when it arrives.
whiskytip.bsky.social
If mine arrives and it touches my lips before Brian gets a whiff of it, or Andrew gets a sip - I will José Mourinho knee slide, like the Porto days.

PS boys - good luck with the deliveries.

Spent a lot in sept and oct on whisky deals and these bottles. Ah well, such is life
whiskytip.bsky.social
Nice, not tried it yet. Got sucked in by the RB Lustau and also a LL DE9 - so that's £110 spent without blinking!
whiskytip.bsky.social
Bunna 12 for £37 as well. Excellent value
whiskytip.bsky.social
Nice one Sam! That is what I was looking for. Ledaig Rioja for £28 super value. ER10 for £28.50 also superb.
whiskytip.bsky.social
Have picked the ones that are not always discounted, and yep, there continues to be good deals. I picked up a Lustau, because, well it'll always be enjoyed
whiskytip.bsky.social
Redbreast Lustau reduced to £45.99 on Amazon at the mo. Also, Scapa 10 for £40, Arran 10 for £34 and Laphroaig Lore for £59.99, Winters Gold for bout £25 (43%). Did you see anything else well priced?

New episode alert! Mike & Duncan host Alex Munch, Co-Founder of Stauning Whisky.
Expect gratuitous chat about smoky whisky, and did a cask ABV actually go up?! We get a bit of a scoop as we hear about life after the separation from Diageo.

Totes agree. It just isn't bottled that much independently. This one is chefs kiss good on the neck pour.

Exceptional. A 21 year old Glen Grant (I think, when I checked previously) at 48%. Fanstastic work to the folks that put this commemorative bottle together at SMWS. Will discuss on the next recorded @honesttoamalt.bsky.social pod. Picked up from auction. Cheers 🥃

Hope they get a deal with a major soon, maybe if they can get something to sub £50.

The 16.1 is my favourite now it's opened up. Dirty on the nose, which I like, icing sugar, apricot danish, slightly floral, seaweed and honeyed sweetness layered into the peat. I'm no expert but this year the level of peat seems much more balanced. Or maybe I'm just getting old. #whisky
