If you are a Member of Congress and don't want to do the Article I duties assigned to it in our Constitution, you really need to resign. And why do you want that job anyway if you don't want to actually do it?
Lawmakers: Congress must reclaim power from the White House
During a wide-ranging NOTUS event, a Republican and Democrat agreed that Trump has become too powerful. A former Republican defense secretary agrees.

In this image, a woman stands on a sidewalk holding a white poster board with a powerful message written in bold, colorful letters. The sign reads, "WE THE PEOPLE WILL NOT BE SILENCED!" with "WE THE PEOPLE" in red and blue letters, and the rest in blue, punctuated by three red stars on the top right. The sign’s design, reminiscent of patriotic themes, evokes the spirit of democracy and collective voice, highlighting the theme of protest or civic action.

The woman is gazing forward with a serious, determined expression, underscoring her commitment to the cause she supports. Another woman is partially visible behind her, also holding a sign, suggesting a small gathering or protest along this quiet street in what appears to be a residential neighborhood. The American flag patterns on the woman's sleeves further emphasize the patriotic undertone of their message.

Overall, the image captures a moment of grassroots activism, where ordinary citizens are expressing their right to speak out. The slogan itself calls back to foundational democratic principles ("We the People" is famously from the U.S. Constitution preamble), reinforcing the idea that freedom of speech and civic participation are not to be suppressed. The quiet neighborhood setting juxtaposes with the boldness of their message, illustrating how public protest often takes place in everyday spaces.

Republicans want to be the party of healthcare? Open up the government. Put the subsidies back in place, and stop fucking with people’s health care.

I don’t know who needs to hear this but the CDC is being eviscerated right now. America is not going to have any kind of outbreak response capacity after tonight. Americans’ health data is no longer secure. Say goodbye to federal public health in any capacity. It’s a disaster. We won’t recover.

EXCLUSIVE — DHS Acting General Counsel sent out a memo Wednesday to all Federal Protective Service staff (the sub-agency that guards federal buildings) letting officers know they could take any action necessary "in the vicinity" federal property to protect themselves.

The Handbasket reports:
DHS top lawyer says 'no legal barrier' to actions officers can take to defend federal property
In a memo obtained exclusively by The Handbasket, Federal Protective Service (FPS) officers were given free rein.
