Unreal Engine is simultaneously the best thing to happen to game development while also contributing to this feeling of graphical stagnation and standardization of the games industry. I really appreciate the developers who go out of their way to modify the shaders and lighting to stand out.

Well this explains why creatures has been printing so many colorless pokemon with generically amazing abilities (fan rotom, Bloodmoon, noctowl, squak) so excited they made a type of disruptive stadium that doesn’t consider rule boxes instead of a path reprint.

Played my first couple games of post-rotation Pokémon last night and my main take away is that all the good decks are just using the Terra support cards. Charizard ex just being the new way to power up terrapagos and then sweep late game is so sick.

This generation in gaming should be studied in economics classes for generations. While Sony and Microsoft are experiencing some massive repercussions from risky decision making at the top, Nintendo has just been chilling doing the same thing they’ve done since the 90’s and prospering.
