Currently writing some code on a plane with wifi too poor for claude code to be nice, paying back some of that unfamiliarity debt 😞

Having it make scoped changes inside of *your* codebase still feels very productive though, especially when its a lot of mechanical stuff
November 23, 2025 at 4:39 PM
Yeah, the cost of diving in and fixing something on your own goes way up, almost feels higher than if it were some random open source codebase that you were contributing to. Takes a while to get over that hump and make enough changes for the codebase to feel β€œyours”

I usually don't, are people mad about something?

Go is a better language because people aren’t building weapon systems with it πŸ‘€

Do you eat that much bread?
November 17, 2025 at 3:19 AM
I think its just the typesetting being more generously spaced

Fresh new edition, beautiful cover work @qntm.org

Gotta get a raindeer to eat them and drink the pee, just like the sami did
November 9, 2025 at 6:37 PM
Did you harvest the amanitas?
November 9, 2025 at 6:25 PM
Same and i still dont know why
November 7, 2025 at 10:36 PM
Well thats just wrong on a number of levels
November 7, 2025 at 1:59 AM
Also probably the easiest tell for whether someone has worked in data storage
November 7, 2025 at 1:44 AM
Its pronounced β€œtibs” of storage
November 7, 2025 at 1:43 AM
With storage its never about *need*
November 6, 2025 at 9:42 PM
You can even get a 2tib one roughly that size these days
November 6, 2025 at 7:45 PM
Maybe when i have time to work on it more, a bit behind on everything right now πŸ₯²
November 5, 2025 at 12:51 AM
Yeah a good chunk of discover post serves come from a bertopic classifier i built a year plus ago, probably need another go around on that but its a pretty different angle than the simclusters stuff
November 4, 2025 at 1:58 AM
Youre thinking too hard, get the aeron

We have some grade A dorks on this website πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
November 1, 2025 at 10:15 PM
Wild that some people have never used a google search , google maps, uber or amazon.
November 1, 2025 at 1:09 AM
The posts shown to you should be derived from clusters containing people you follow
October 31, 2025 at 5:58 PM
If/once we integrate this into Discover, I might try to add some introspection somewhere. I would love for us to build a "configure your discover preferences" web app, but time is a bit of a limiter there. Maybe Claude can write this for me
October 31, 2025 at 5:46 PM
Is this... unexpected?

It's also not using any sort of diversity filtering so if one cluster is more active than another you're going to see a lot of one thing
October 31, 2025 at 5:39 PM
These all appear to be "tech journalists"-ish in my clicking around, the clustering is based on who follows you, not who you follow, so this means that people who follow you also follow those other people pretty often
