“You can’t play the Avatar in AL” is quickly approaching “D&D4e is just a board game/MMO” levels in terms of the visceral reaction I have to it. Probably not a great sign for my sanity if I were to publish a game, that I’m reacting this way to people having different opinions about a game.

Today I spent a lot of time posting *OPINIONS* about games and I'm emotionally drained. Am I right? Was I an ass? Did people understand me? How do people do this day after day? Mortifying ordeal of being known et cetera et cetera.

This is one of those cases where familiarity with the subject makes it obvious how poorly it’s actually doing; every attempt at AI D&D rules I’ve looked at has been subtly but fundamentally incoherent. They’re Dunning-Kruger Machines.
it is remarkable and disturbing that you can ask a chatbot to provide D&D statistics rendering the last ten US presidents as boss monsters for a 10th level party and it does a pretty good job.
It’s a party trick in the same way teaching a bear to do undergraduate calculus would be: of dubious commercial utility but a pretty fundamental challenge to how we see our role in the universe

Huh, they’re bringing back the 3.x “Skeuomorphic Tome” style for this one, neat. This one’s particularly reminiscent of the Monster Manual.

I have the full run of 2 still in my backlog, so I was probably going to let this one sit fallow for a while anyways. Even so, this is disappointing and I definitely won’t be buying 3 unless and until they remove the AI garbage.
DO NOT BUY JURASSIC WORLD EVOLUTION 3
They’re using ai generation in their game, boycott this shit and force their hand to remove this garbage from their game entirely.

I don’t often go to social gaming events, as I think of myself as an introvert, but when they go well they feel GREAT. Had an absolute blast at the Chicago Illimat League, can’t wait for it to happen again.

Following along with Dragonstorm spoilers has been a ride for me - Khans is my favorite set and I love Tarkir as a setting. The story was great, and my preliminary read on the set is that it’ll hit the right notes gameplay-wise but that there are several baffling aesthetic choices.
