Failure modes that read like how a scifi author would write an AI having a bittersweet flashback >>>

no joke my PCP audibly sighed when at my 3 month checkup i asked if i needed to get in a gown.

she said something like "you can tell your friends whose doctors want to grope them that there's no medical value in measuring breast growth during an exam. you can do that at home with a fabric ruler."

ah yes and if your middle finger is longer than your ringer finger then ur gay

hey where are you going get back here and spell ICUP

she rocks. simultaneously educated enough on trans stuff to skip obvious HRT questions and go straight to asking about fine details like if the boobs can produce milk... yet sheltered enough that when i told her i'd be picking up a set of rods for postop dilation she said "oh, for the pee hole?"

my mom apologized to me for it in the middle of a conversation i was having with another girl at the bottom surgery recovery house

gotta get one of those fancy scanners the the internet archive has where the glass is shaped like a roof so both pages of a book will lie flat on it without damaging the spine

masterwork study - Ophelia, John Everett Millais

from my sketchbook, ink on paper. (wishing I’d done this on a separate sheet 😭)
an ink drawing of ophelia, by john everett millais. ophelia lies in water, surrounded by flowers. the drawing is done with flowing hatch marks and thin line work. the same drawing, but shown at an angle within the leather bound sketchbook I drew it in. in the background are some of the micron pens I used to draw it.

i was getting increasingly flabbergasted at the arrogant way this article is written where it acts like the text of this US bill is going to set the terms, not international agreements. and doesn't even mention canadian sovereignty until the last paragraph.

then got jumpscared by the .ca in the URL

at least you get to imagine some fbi guy getting increasingly annoyed as he has to keep instance hopping to read the replies on the seized posts

it's funny how as soon as you enter the global south the percentage of humans who are naturally inclined to transition to women craters, while the percentage of people naturally inclined towards androgyny skyrockets. it's definitely a real thing and not completely transparent transmisogynist erasure

when they see a culturally localized """third sex""" community building bonds with the global community of trans women, and call it colonialism 🙄

sorry mr sociology student but some of us care more about solidarity with our sisters, than you having people to dehumanize for your latest ethnography

GOD that phrase is giving me flashbacks to 2010s facebook where "leftists" cheered for the militaries of any country outside the US sphere of influence like sports teams

we gotta get more normal doctors to break his monopoly on things like "decent estrogen doses in the midwest" and "literally anyone who does estrogen implants"

people don't comprehend how shitty people are to anyone with a limb difference. positive-ish portrayals in film/tv (usually from abled actors btw) make us think it's not a common form of bigotry, but it is.

this is why ironic slurs are bad! people immediately graft them onto existing real bigotry!

i've worked in prosthetics for seven years, and when i tell you i saw fucking red when i first saw this video the other day. my word.

good to see a manufacturer letting their rep confront bigotry directly, and not doing the perpetual corporate positivity thing.

listmaking *should* require being loud/intentional about identifying a specific target. it shouldn't be low-friction.

the friction is part of how we prevent things degrading into a bunch of friendly fire. the other part is intentionally checking each other one on when tactics are effective & wise.

yeah i think there's a big difference between e.g. "we have identified that jesse singal specifically is a material threat, we are making a blocklist of his followers specifically as a pressure campaign, this exists to deplatform singal" and "i want a report on anyone suspect that anyone follows"

don't get your sex ed from aryion girlies, the balls aren't little liquid cum tanks :V
willawillnot.bsky.social
it almost certainly works, there's 4 types of gland involved in making cum, and the only ones removed during bottom surgery are the ones that doesn't contribute any liquid, just the swimmers.

"data and anecdotes are limited" sounds like a call to action 🫡

don't worry i'll make sure to tell the girls in the surgery server that i'm doing the experiment because you told me to

imo you could run a pretty effective honeypot posting like, 10 random snippets from public domain books per day, while engaging with the usual follow farming suspects

won't attract legit followers, but will attract both bot and human follow farmers who don't notice it's nonsense at a glance

whole website is whipped into a froth and smells blood and wouldn't you know it, trans women keep being the targets of the day
