Advice for composers and bedroom producers:

Learn drum rudiments.

They’re easy to grasp, and incorporating flams, drags, rolls, and paradiddles will help your percussion writing in any genre.

One aspect of sleepwalking into authoritarianism that I wasn't expecting is just how little there is to say about it.

"Yeah, this predictably evil thing is bad."
"Oh, that thing Trump did is bad."
"All these (technically illegal) things are very bad."

It's straight up not very interesting.

When your party travels from one part of a city to another, how do you GM that? Smash cut? Random encounters? Do you make them march their tokens across a giant map? To improve intracity travel, first you need to know what you hope to gain.
