I'm pleased that the FCDO have announced Mohammed Ali will leave Israeli custody for Istanbul tomorrow and thank his family and all those who have contacted me for their determination to see Mohammed safely returned home to the UK.

Thank you to everyone who reached out regarding Mr Mohammed Ali's safety. I am working at pace to secure his safe return.

I've been contacted by a number of residents regarding their GP surgery no longer accepting bookings via phone. The new GP contract means GP surgeries must provide online bookings systems throughout the day. This is to end the 8am rush for appointments.

Really pleased I was able to assist a local company, their workers and supply chain. If you have any concerns or issues my team and I will always do what we can to help and you can contact us on [email protected]

Fantastic to meet with FN UK, a company that recently secured a 10-year contract with the MOD, underscoring their commitment to excellence and delivering for the UK. Swindon would be a perfect place for them to expand their operations and I'll push for them to set up in our town.

I recently joined, the Wiltshire PCC and Heidi Alexander at a conference organised by the Owen's World charity to back a joined up approach between charities, community groups, public bodies and the police to tackle Knife Crime in Swindon.

On the 17th September DEFRA Secretary Emma Reynolds invited me to visit the Coleshill estate alongside the National Trust. There I saw the excellent work the National Trust are doing to support farmers, from diversifying farmer income streams to building flood defences.

Good to catch up with the team at planetfall before the conference season kicked off. They're a high altitude drone firm, building bespoke drones that can fly to high altitudes and I'm really keen to bring them to Swindon as part of our growing drone cluster.

I was really pleased to hear the Education Secretary announce her plan to provide libraries to all the 1,700 primary schools without access to one. The love of reading is a gateway to a love of learning and it's great to see us reversing years of decline.

I recently co-signed a letter alongside a number of other Labour MP's who have written to the Chancellor to increase gambling taxes on online gambling and ring fence that money to end the two child benefit cap, which is largely seen as one of the most effective measures to reduce child poverty.

I was really pleased to see cross party unity presented at Full Council last night where the Leader of the Conservative Group, Gary Sumner, endorsed my vision for a drone hub and showed his support for the work I've been doing to bring over 800 advanced manufacturing jobs to Swindon.

When I met with Clarke Osbourne of Gaming International I made it clear to him that any proposed developments on the Abbey Stadium site should follow a planning application for the proposed Motorsport Hub. I am pleased that Cllr Jason Mills has called in the application.

Glad my team have been able to support an independent trader in their interactions with HMRC to ensure that they get the monies they're entitled to.

Fantastic to visit the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus in Oxford to see some of their world leading research and technology facilities and take part in a roundtable alongside a number of experts in the fields of Engineering, Lasers, R&D as well as members of the UK Space Agency.

Great to meet with John and Halimah from Darkhive a company already working to produce a number of products, including drones for the UK. They currently operate out of Cambridge but I am continuing to push for more jobs for Swindon.

Congratulations to Mike Harrison, nominated by a local resident for his work as a Forest Schools Instructor. Through his work at Green Trees Forest school Mike has been supporting the work of anti-knife crime charities and young people: buff.ly/oeAJINM

Great to speak to ITV about the importance of bringing TEKEVER to the town and hear the Defence Secretary being so positive about Swindon and the new opportunities companies like TEKEVER bring to the town.

Great to catch up with Ollie from Adarga to discuss how AI can revolutionise defence architecture, compiling thousands of different sources, translating across languages and bringing it all together to allow clear and decisive decisions by decision makers.

Fantastic to welcome the Secretary of State for Defence, John Healey, to Swindon today for the announcement that TEKEVER will be establishing a factory in the old Renault building. TEKEVER occupying this building marks the next generation in advanced manufacturing here in Swindon.
