trying my best. disabled. pdx. views are my own.
Also one of the first things the new staff asked me is if I’m paying for my parking spot lol if they make me start paying after 2 years of me fighting them and nearly suing them I will scream

Also I almost got hit by a car again today and this time they even had to speed and swerve to not hit me <3

I also asked about power doors and they said something about having to go through the city and it being a whole thing with the wiring and it not being required and stuff so I doubt that’s going anywhere

Just sent my nearly 2 year old accommodation request to new staff for the 3rd time! I love being disabled and having rights! It is not at all a systemic burden placed on individuals just trying to have their basic needs met!

I feel like I need emotional support to talk to my building’s 3rd new set of office staff about the parking situation because I might lose my mind lol

The transit service cuts are going to be so horrific I cannot fathom. The next several years are going to be hell. We need a full time legislature. We need special sessions. They have to dig us out of the hell we are in. Reform the fucking tax system. No more budget cuts under wealth inequality.

what a policy failure to spend hundreds of millions on a bus rapid transit line and then cut funding for service so the bus isn't exactly so rapid(ly arriving) after all.

these cuts are going to be so brutal and we're going to need everyone hootin and hollarin' at legislators to find a solution
"""Bus rapid transit""" (service every half hour)

There is no better car advertisement than spending 30 minutes waiting on a bus.

The campaign hoping to refer Oregon's newly passed gas tax increase to next year's ballot now says it has more than 150,000 signatures -- roughly double of what it needs. #orpol

Thinking about the driver I was behind at a red light who was…shopping…on their phone mounted on their windshield. This was after we had driven down a road with speed bumps where people were swerving towards the side of the road where people were walking without sidewalks.

Cleaning out your fridge after a bout of depression and having to throw out a lot of food doesn’t mean you don’t care about food insecurity and waste (I told myself as I cleaned out my fridge)

Fun fact my apartment building doesn’t have working bathroom vents! I heard them work for a few months this year but there is no fan you can intentionally turn on and the “always circulating” fan doesn’t really exist. My entire apartment gets wet when I shower.
Ventilation was one of the original public health measures featured in early building codes in London and New York City. While contaminated water supplies were the real cause of cholera and typhoid outbreaks, airborne disease spread and high CO2 levels continue to plague modern buildings today.
