2. This is a “Memorial Forest” (Bosque del Recuerdo) in remembrance of victims who lost their lives in the March 11, 2004 terrorist attacks in Madrid. It is a quiet, somber and beautiful work of landscape architecture.

La Mezquita is a former mosque in Cordoba, Spain; it was converted into a church in the 13th century and at present is of vast proportions. The use of Gothic architecture over Moorish design may create a sense of strange juxtapositions.

In a vast church, Gothic tracery and a ceiling which uses the “fan” pattern were superimposed upon an earlier Moorish design.

The reason is to impede the filing of a habeas petition, which had to be brought in the jurisdiction where she’s currently located, not where she was kidnapped. So ICE moves people around to make it harder for families to free the kidnap victims.
