A cosmos may grow six feet high on its thin stem, tossed by a breeze, looking all delicate. But it’s mid-November and this hearty bloom outlasted everything else. It isn’t fragile at all.

A few years ago, I heard the outstanding jazz pianist and composer David Kikoski play with a top notch band. We were in a cave-like club in the cellar of a Soho hotel. Although his piano bench gave way in the middle of the set, there was no stopping him. #NYC #Jazz #DavidKikoski #BlueskyPhotography
