We did have a nice Turkey Day though! Mom put together a relatively slow-stress meal with desserts and we watched our favorite yearly Thanksgiving movie, What’s Cooking. Dad’s here with us in spirit, & we talked to my paternal aunt on the phone a little while she drove back to her home in SoCal. 💖

And because of lack of proper sleep for the last week, I now have a migraine. Very predictable that it was triggered by lack of sleep. Glad I stopped the statin so I can try to catch up on rest. And glad I have my triptan to help with the pounding whole head pain.
Off the statin for one day and I already could sleep so much more. Of course, after having shit to almost no sleep for so long, my head is now pounding. If that isn’t indicative of this being the wrong statin for me, I really don’t know what else could be.

At least I have this little sweetie who understands why people like me identify how we do even though she can’t fully relate because she’s a cat. She loves us because we love her. Hate-filled humans? Take note how animals outdo you in every turn.

I’m skipping my doses from today on to see if not taking it improves my increasingly worsened insomnia. Because if it does? Hoo boy. A word to all scientists studying statins is needed. How can you ignore so many patients all reporting the same symptoms of worse insomnia while on these? Really???
I took three of my sleep pills AND my usual melatonin gummy and I STILL am not fucking asleep. It’s been HOURS. I need my doctor to help me ASAP because the fuck is this shit??? Why is rosuvastatin doing this to me????

A good tip is to self sensor. Ask yourself before you speak: Are you making assumptions? Is it any of your business? Could it in any way be considered insensitive? If yes, don't say it! Try: it is good to see you/ I am glad you are here. Offer drink (include a non alcoholic option)

Thanksgiving tomorrow, the 7th one without Allen. Vern’s birthday is Saturday, I still celebrate it 25 years later. I have an infection in my mouth that has moved to my jaw and throat and got an antibiotic shot that left a bruise and welt.
