According to reports citing Danish officials and defense histories, more than 30 U.S. military installations and bases in Greenland are now closed, leaving only one active base today. If it is so strategic to our national defense, why do we only have one base there?

None of those countries has ever attacked Russia.
So (Russia) doesn't need security guarantees.
The Security guarantees are needed for everybody else."
