Saying Sorry (Part 4/4) - Gator Days Characters August - Alligator - A soft spoken single father who works in IT. Fergus - Alligator - A grandpa who has been chewed up by the world but is doing his best. August's father. Panel 1 Fergus has stopped by with a gift for August and the two have been talking about some rough events from August's childhood. While a difficult conversation, it's been a healing moment for the both of them. August is feeling happy about how it went. August is holding the toy bear his father brought by. August: Thank you, Dad. This all means a lot to me. Fergus: Sorry I apologize so much. Panel 2 August puts the bear and reassures his dad that things are okay. He knows the apologies are coming from a sincere place. August: That's okay. You don't hide behind apologies. Panel 3 Fergus is feeling a little bashful, all this has him showing much more emotion than he is used to. He's trying hard not to cry. August is appreciative of his father's willingness to empathize and connect. August: There's still hurt. But I'm glad we're talking and working through it. Panel 4 August hugs Fergus. While Fergus might have made mistakes, August knows that his father loves him and wants to be the best dad he can be. August: You've worked hard to improve yourself. I'm proud of you, Dad. Fergus cries.

Sleep Slithering

Monster Researcher Eclair (but mostly Andie this time) study multi-headed monster sleep habits.
The Serpents that make up a Gorgon's "hair" can be more or less independent, with variation among individuals from different regions. However they generally behave in concert with the main body. Eclair: "Multi headed monsters, such as Hydras, Chimeras, and Gorgons often exhibit a form of unihemispheric sleep, at least one of their two heads remain alert for predators while the main body slumbers. Eclair presenting various monsters with their brain highlighted, the Gorgon naps in Andie's lap. "During this time, a gorgon's snakes appear to have lowered inhibitions, so it's recommended to avoid leaving snacks or similar temptations nearby. (Water is okay)" Andie holds a glass of water while one of the gorgon's sleepy head snakes takes a sip. "Of course, in safe domestic environments where predators are scarce, these heads may grow restless and demonstrate a variety of playful behaviors to pass the time." Andie is teased playfully by the snakes while the Gorgon sleeps, the snakes slither around under their clothes and lick their sensitive ears. One of them heads down south off-panel for some reason *cough*

In the future, I may need to write some more comics that also utilize one or more cucumbers in order to justify the cost of these twenty dollhouse-sized cucumbers I got from Amazon. Not that they were crazy expensive or anything. But… I do have a score of tiny cukes just sitting on my desk.
