Want to know why folks have so little faith in government?

I've been sitting on hold for nearly two hours for Oregon's Unemployment Department to help a family member who first applied for UI a month ago and still hasn't been approved.

We need universal basic income. People deserve dignity.

Keith Wilson seems laser focused on tanking any goodwill he was being extended by community advocates now that he is nearing his arbitrary and unrealistic deadline to “end unsheltered homelessness” which means we’ll be seeing mass sweeps and will be told it’s the compassionate approach.

Agreed! I think Andrew Yang was right about at least two things in 2020. The need for Americans to get paid for their data and universal basic income.

I think we should be taxing A.I. companies to fund UBI based on the projected job displacement.

If we had universal basic income, we'd have so many more entrepreneurs, artists, non-profit leaders, etc.

When people's basic needs are met, we're able to dream and build.

It's time we define freedom as FDR did and it must include freedom from want.

Oh, no doubt. Attending would be mostly out of morbid curiosity as well as a legitimate interest in seeing if there are any relationships that can be formed on APANO's behalf. Last session taught me I can't only depend on Dems and that there are a couple broken clocks in the Oregon GOP.
