My nephew is fundraising for his youth basketball team to fund things like "gym time, uniforms, equipment and scholarships so every player can participate".
I'll definitely be donating but what if we just taxed billionaires and multi-national corporations enough to cover basic activities for kids?

I could be completely wrong but I think the nightmare scenario for Oregon Democrats next year is Danielle Bethell beating Christine Drazan while the gas tax/fee increase referral makes it to the ballot.
I think Democrats see 2026 as anti-GOP but in Oregon, I think it will be anti-incumbent.

I always get a boost of creativity during the holidays.
I don't think it's a coincidence that it's when I usually force myself to slow down and focus on the things my mind is actually interested in rather than reacting to a constant flood of competing priorities.

I think it’s honestly disgusting and deeply unserious that the Revoke the Permit people have clipped videos of my women colleagues eating pizza at the dais as some kind of shaming tool, which is now being used by right-wing media to harass them in misogynistic ways. Congrats everyone.

Missed a handful of fun evening events with some important organizations and even cooler people this week but got to celebrate my oldest daughter’s 4th birthday and my youngest daughter called me the “best dad ever” three times at dinner last night so excuse me while I never go back to work again.
