Feb-June, weekend construction impacts travel to Washington Reagan National Airport. Trains won’t run between Pentagon City & the airport for 10 weekends to build a second entrance at Crystal City to support ridership. Shuttle buses replace trains at affected stations. www.wmata.com/initiatives/...

Meet Officer Leo & Rocco, one of 15 K-9s with our Metro Transit Police Department (MTPD)! 20 years ago, Leo joined MTPD with a goal to work in the K-9 unit. Now he’s a Master Patrol Officer of K-9s. Each day, he and Rocco work side by side, making our community safer.

UPDATE: Red Line: Trains are single tracking between Silver Spring and Takoma because of a trespasser struck by a train at Takoma. Customers will continue to experience delays in both directions. Some trains will offload at strategic locations to minimize train traffic.

In 2025, ridership soared! We saw 146.8 million trips on rail and 118.8 million trips on bus for a total of 265.7 million combined, 5.8% higher than 2024. 🚌 🚇 🚐

The temperatures are dropping, and so are our bus schedule wait times! 🚌 In 2025, average wait times fell to 9.5 minutes, one minute less than 2024.
