King County Metro (Seattle) & SEPTA (Philly) have also performed well, while LA Metro & NJTransit have lost riders

Definitely not avoiding replying (I’m trying to do less social media) Pls know we are working hard to deliver better service everyday so we welcome helpful feedback. I’ve personally had many bus service meetings in last month. Traffic is bad, we need more bus lanes but we will con’t to do better.

Did you know? Metro has replaced 122 of 145 escalators so far as part of its multi-year improvements project.

Stations scheduled for escalator replacement in 2025 include Navy Yard, Rosslyn, Gallery Place, L’Enfant Plaza west entrance, and Foggy Bottom.

A bittersweet farewell to our 2000-series! 🚇

Today, we removed the final one from Greenbelt Rail Yard. These trains were first introduced in the early 1980s, operated nearly 200M miles, and carried more than 775M passengers.

Now, we’re making way for our 8000-series! 👋

Our fiscal year comes to a close w/ great results. $120m under budget, more customers, crime way down, customer satisfaction up. Great job Team Metro & thank you to all our customers and community partners.

Touring portions of the @wmata.com system with DMVMoves today. The control room at Farragut North Station was built in the 1970s. It has not seen significant upgrades since then. While safe, unfortunately, it’s not always reliable.
