Shiboyugi is reaping the rewards of rearranging the narrative and fundamentally adjusting the framing to fit Ueno's sensibilities - apart from all that having made the moment-to-moment so enthralling. Doesn't feel right to talk about "original episode" in an adaptation so transformative though, lol

I will continue to beat the drum that is this: Frieren is not just a must-watch for anime enjoyers, it is a must-watch for anyone with eyeballs.
The Frieren anime will never get enough credit (and conversely, the source material doesn't get enough flak) for the increase in specificity in the depiction of cultures. Often hazy locations become places where people eat a certain way, have architecture of their own, display tangible imagery, etc

I have to believe TikTok still has plenty of users, but always a good idea for studios marketing their games to have a presence elsewhere. Especially YouTube.
