imo this is the most insidious failure. It looked right, it compiled, it ran, and it just did something that I didn't want, and because I didn't write that code, I couldn't figure out where the error was coming from.

Okay today has been a really bad day for Copilot. I've spent ~2 hours hunting down goofy bugs caused by it inserting a single incorrect token, and another to fix a colorable but wrong interpretation of how some code should work.

2. I’ve invested in learning how to use this tool. Holy cow, it’s transformational.

Position #1 has lower barriers to entry.
