JRR Tolkien began a sequel to the Lord of the Rings, on the idea that after Sauron was defeated, evil gradually crept back into the world. Tolkien abandoned this notion as too depressing-- but I wish he hadn't, as I'd like to know what to do about it.

now, bear in mind, perhaps this is just me defending my ineptitude! but accordion might be a tricky first instrument to tackle.

as someone who can play several instruments, including guitar, piano and trombone, I was unable to master the accordion. It requires not only knowledge of the keyboard, but also simultaneous coordination of the bellows, AND the dizzying array of bass buttons, which are actually chords!

I just left the Everglades Immigrant Interment Camp. No, I’m not using their ridiculous name. It was a very tough to witness humans in those cages. Every Floridian should be ashamed that our taxpayer money is being used for this.
