This is NOT an end all be all, and many people write outside of this. Word count opinions often fluctuate. HOWEVER, as a debut author, it’s in your best interest to be true to yourself/your story while staying as close as you can to the LOWER ends of these numbers!

A reminder to everyone that there are SO MANY WAYS to do a query and synopsis CORRECTLY. Many may think the way I’ve laid out the chart is incorrect.

Simply do your best, do research, and know that you won’t be rejected based on small formatting differences.
