I read about "gamergate" and the times online conflict spills over to the real world. The tone of and some language in the featured chats appear similar to that of gamer culture. The apparent ease of piling on, too.

I shouldn't assume, but these kids look like they spent time in that world.

Read this yesterday. It feels to me like the little media coverage of this piece so far overemphasizes the "young" part of all of this, like it's new or something. I am confident these same convos have taken place in some form or other by subsets of existing R party leaders going back decades.

This was just 200. And they aren't National Guard. They're there to monitor the ceasefire. But when Trump says, "we," all I could think of was, "wasn't this how we got pulled into Vietnam, with a small # in an advisory role?"

I was thinking of an incident like Jason implied: gas mask, smoke, and firing blindly into a crowd. They don't seem at all bothered by the judge's prohibition on smoke and cs. In fact,they seem even more inclined to thwart her order.

Yes, you should be surprised and horrified by secret federal police running around our city kidnapping immigrants, crashing cars, launching chemical weapons and shooting and killing people. This is a thing you should be *perpetually* shocked by. We lose when we become numb to it.

I'm extremely happy for the freed hostages and their loved ones.

Now I want to see unending humanitarian aid, more doctors, and Western journalists on the ground, and coordinated drones documenting the destruction.

If this Gaza peace holds for 90 days, I'll give credit. Until then ... a wary eye.
