A few years back my mother-in-law was ill in hospital. Whilst visiting here I noticed these flags pinned to the wall and wondered why they were there.
Of course they're the flags of the nationalities of the NHS staff that looked after my mother-in-law's ward, without whom we'd not have an NHS.

Our lovely local florist is closing down: she told me she'll work from home & do local deliveries.
Her rent has gone up, as her electricity, business rates & water bills. She said "Every time I get my head above water I have to work even harder just to make more money for everyone else. Sod 'em".
