It’s not about being scared of her opinion. I only ship stolitz and im pretty sure thats not the ship she’s talking about. But even if it was, i still find creators involving themselves in fandom spaces inappropriate. Creators will naturally be give more authority and it can make these spaces-

Ultimately it’s a difference of perspective. I don’t think creators should participate in fan spaces because it causes a power imbalance, but I know not everyone feels that way.

Fandom is about having fun. It’s not about canon. So having the creator come out and says “actually your ship sucks” is just mean spirited and unnecessary.

Unbalanced and toxic for fans and creators alike. And honestly, this use to be the norm. Outside of cons, creators wouldn’t involve themselves in fandom discourse at all, because those blurred boundaries can cause issues.

Maybe I’m old school, but this is deeply inappropriate/unprofessional. Fandom spaces are for fans, not creators. Of course people are going to have a negative reaction when a creator comes out and says “lol I hate one of your ships, but I won’t say which one.” This is purposely stirring the pot

My opinion shouldn’t matter in shipping cuz you guys can ship anything you want! But I’m genuinely wondering how many seasons we can go before I finally break and say which ship I absolutely fucking hate. Cuz I’ve come so close….

Creators stay out of fandom spaces! Creators stop making unnecessary commentary on ships and other fandom related stuff! It isn’t your place! It’s unprofessional!

I honestly REALLY hate the phrase “nobody owes you anything”. I truly believe it’s made us crueler as a society and has really grown into an excuse to not have sympathy or empathy for others.

As human beings we at least owe each other some sort of level of compassion.

Helluva Boss fancomic about post-S2 finale Stolas working at I.M.P. We open on Stolas at his desk. He's on the phone with a potential client, flipping through a schedule book. He's sitting with his legs crossed and he's wearing a secretary outfit.
Stolas: Yes, we are open to new clients. No, our office is not closed due to bug exterminators. You "read this online"?... Yes, lies on the Internet. A very dark and disturbing concept...
Stolas looks up and sees Blitz staring at him.

Blitz looks Stolas up and down very slowly. Then he grins like a shitstain and walks into his own office, shutting the door behind him. Stolas is very distracted by this but he's still on the phone.
Stolas: ... I'll pencil you in.
Stolas scribbles something in the schedule book but his eyes are on Blitz's door.

We are now in Blitz's office. The blinds are down. Stolas stands angrily in front of Blitz's desk, tip-tapping his finger with his arms crossed.
Stolas: I thought you said this wasn't going to devolve into an office sex roleplay and that you wanted me to "actually work".
Blitz has his legs up on his desk.
Blitz: Yeah? Why? Did I say anything about wanting to fuck you? Wow, Stolas! Now THAT would be inappropriate!
Blitz laughs at the notion. Obviously an office sex roleplay would be so cliche there is no way that's happening, I mean yes it's also not appropriate for a boss to take advantage of a receptionist!
Stolas is not as amused.

Stolas: Ah, so you WEREN'T lustfully leering at my body?
Blitz: Of course not. As your boss, I was just admiring that body at work!
Stolas suddenly slams his hands down on Blitz's desk. The force of that action shuts Blitz up. Stolas looms over Blitz.

That’s one of the best things I learned in therapy as a neurodivergent person. I can’t be expected to understand the feelings of others when those feelings are not being communicated to me. So I relate to Stolas a lot here lol

Its kind of hard to throw him a bone when Blitzø isn’t being upfront. To Stolas Blitzø is upset b/c he has another friend/doesn’t trust Stolas to take care of himself. Stolas isn’t great at picking up subtext, but honestly, he shouldn’t have to be. Blitzø gotta learn to be honest about his feelings.

I find head cannons about Stolas having a loving mother or a caring butler very interesting because what I enjoy about Stolas so much is his isolation and loneliness. Without that upbringing, he wouldn’t be the Stolas I know. It makes me wonder what other fans see as “the core” of his character.
