Just subbed a short story collection to a publisher. Fingers crossed. But either way, I’m super proud of it. My goal was to put something together that was as tight and cohesive and raw as a Billy Woods or Earl Sweatshirt album. I hope I nailed it.

Juelz Santana’s debut album From Me to U got bad reviews when it came out in 2003. It was kinda the first mark of Dipset’s fall off. But goddamn it’s fucking good. If it came out today, it would be beloved. It’s so sonically smooth. It sounds like whiskey and BBQ

Unlike the 90s, the sound of a lot of 2000s hip hop hasn’t aged well. But the Diplomats…holy hell! Some of these songs feel like they could have been released today. They were either ahead of their time or they released shit that aged like wine
