Think I saw this "pepper's ghost" technique in various places including the Fujio Museum and thought it was holographic... Then I see it on my timeline and it's not really xD

Started "Kirei ni Shite Moraemasu ka? (Wash It All Away)" Maybe I've found a new spot to visit, haha. Atami's quite far out from Tokyo though. Cute laid back show but bit of fan service.

Never used BirBnB before but only way to rent a holiday apartment it seems. Registering an account requires ID, verification before booking. Your real name and face photo is public for indexing. Then you must make half the payment in advance. Hope trouble worth it.

I like how the latest HK drama "Homeland Guardian, 守誠者" paints the West in bad light, trying to ruin the city considering the current tensions with China. Use some fiction for soft power.

Quite enjoy playing post apocalyptic games but Quarantine Zone looks a bit on the gory side... Painful too when you're probing humans for infection. Still might try it for the management sim side.

So Japan get inspired by SimCity at one point? Idea of the mega structures was once Earth becomes over populated humans would need to live in these cities. Now space tourism and Mars inhabitation is being explored, it might turn out different. Which cost more resources?

Ooo, OnePlus in trouble. Chinese brand used to make some really good phones for cheap prices as well. Now they've joined the upmarket.

Seeing pirates helping detect malware in pirated software by analysing the opcode is quite something... Or rather, in the install code.

Started Fate/Strange Fake. Didn't watch the 1 hour prologue special "Whisper of Dawn" so watched that first. Really good so far. Tense and epic like previous entries. Fresh interesting characters after all the Stay remakes with a fake "fourth" Holy Grail War going on in America.

Watched Rental Family (2025) set in Tokyo where a foreign "gaijin" actor isn't getting anywhere. Light-hearted look at the real world business and the ethics. Kicks off with a bit of black comedy but gets better. Don't expect Lost in Translation.

New Anime season but quite a few usual suspects. Feels like there's a new girl band show every season...

Heh. You can't order videos on YouTube by upload date anymore.

Came across another interesting spot, Harumi Port Park, while watching Ohrangers. Interestingly enough it's near Odaiba but not quite easy to access since there aren't any train stations nearby. Again, hasn't changed much since mid 90s.

Oh yeah, forgot about the Persona 30th Anniversary reveal today... So P4: Revival. This a "Persona 4: True True True Director's Cut, No Really"?

Watching Zach Cherry, "Woody" walk around just gives off Severance vibes, lol... #FalloutSeason2
January 7, 2026 at 11:20 PM
Welp, it's Fallout day. Only thing I don't like about the show is its fight with the "commies"... Hope this doesn't influence kids to start harassing ethnic communities even though China is painted in a lot of bad light these days.

Think these holographic gadgets have been done but an AI one could be quite the appeal. Wonder how well it'll sell Probably not cheap and requires a sub to the cloud service too. Uses Grok apparently... everything recorded for training?

Saw an Ikebukuro walking tour vid. Thought why not since it's been a while since I watched in the area, then saw all these banners of Madoka Magica. Turns out it's 50th anniversary for Shaft studio so there's an exhibition on.

Looking for a recent sci-fi movie to watch and for some reason last year's Doraemon movie is in the list. Well, I guess it is kind of sci-fi with its gadgets from the future setting... xD

Haha, there's a "Disneyfied" Italian themed area in Kawasaki... Could say the same many foreign themed areas around the world really which is how people end up with cliches of other races.

Kawasaki City now associated with Girls Band Cry too, not just Fujio and Doraemon. Apparently a fun stamp rally event going on there just now.

Not that big a Captain Tsubasa fan but looks like Yotsugi Station's a fun place for a walk for those who are. Plenty of statues around the area to spot along with with original art by the creator.

Wonder if video game companies will still be paying for Denuvo once that universal crack gets refined enough to pirate most of the games that are currently protected by it? I imagine it'll be a while and Denuvo will have updated their protection for future games though.

Been a while since I watched a walking tour vid of Akiba. This kicks off from Kanda on a Sunday. Doesn't seem that far a walk to get there. Spotted a Trails in the Sky 1st Remake poster, heard a bit of the Kimetsu Mugen movie and an ad for Persona 5X xD

Some of the anti-China Japanese tweets I see on TwitterX are pretty funny...

Headline: "Chinese woman who has travelled to more than 22 countries says Japan was the most disappointing of all."
Anti-China Person: ''Yes! Keep spreading that!"
