i do feel like its status as 'your reward for watching seed' marked by the wider fandom is more a millstone around its neck than a mark of admiration; it's ultimately not much to write home about but that initial disappointment upon the realization it's overhyped does so much damage.

i do feel like its status as 'your reward for watching seed' marked by the wider fandom is more a millstone around its neck than a mark of admiration; it's ultimately not much to write home about but that initial disappointment upon the realization it's overhyped does so much damage.
The kinda disappointing thing for me about stargazer is it offers multiple chances to examine the realities of living through break the world or bloody valentine, unreal horrors, but it lays all its focus on what this means for the military or cartoonish levels of melodrama that i cannot connect to

one more egg eaten. idk why people put this in the list of gundam things to watch on account of it only being a total 10 minutes long but it's fun. feels like a better use of the cosmic era to do this low stakes battle shounen bullshit (affectionate) rather than grand sweeping statement stuff

While it's true you can't fully trust player opinions on balance for this reason, devs in charge of game tuning must also realize that data lies too.
Balance isnt real. Only the perception of balance is. It's all vibes. Balance isnt a viable OR desirable goal. You want fun, variety, and retention.

One of the producers on Guilty Gear Strive said it was basically impossible to source player feedback on balance changes online because nobody had original opinions and would just parrot what the most popular content creators said and so they had to rely on data and I think about that every day.
