Good to see this nice Reflection of the vC&F paper! It starts with "Modern gas exchange is often attributed to the work of Gaastra (1959) who made first measurements...". Need a complicated model to predict dynamic photosynthesis in response to elevated CO2 and temperature? Evidence from measuring T-FACE grown rice plants suggests that the answer is "No" if we just predict cumulative CO2 assimilated during lightfleck(s). @jxbotany.bsky.social
