To build a new communication network that requires global trust, you have to open source everything. True security comes from transparency.

This is why XMTP's node software is open source—anyone can inspect, & verify every line of code. No more blind trust in a black box.

One inbox. Many identities.

XMTP lets users link multiple identities + passkey or crypto wallet to a single secure inbox.

This means any DiD, can link to XMTP and access secure, private messaging with XMTP.

Privacy is under attack.

🇬🇧 The UK made Apple drop ADP.
🇮🇳 India forced a backdoor to WhatsApp.
🇷🇺 Russia & 🇹🇷 Turkey banned Discord.

Centralized systems are breaking down & encryption is not enough.
We need decentralized messaging.

It's one thing to build a low-latency, scalable messaging protocol; it's another thing to make it secure.

Our zero major vulnerabilities audit from NCC Group Research (trusted by Matrix Olm & WhatsApp) shows XMTP's commitment to highly-secure messaging, from DMs to large groups.

Passkey accounts and wallet accounts, all on the same network.

It's instant access to decentralized messaging for anyone with an Apple or Android device.

The future of messaging is decentralized.

"Apple’s iCloud backups aren’t encrypted by default, but Advanced Data Protection option was added in 2022, and must be enabled manually... Apple is expected to simply stop offering ADP in the UK." - @dompreston.com

Apple ordered to open encrypted user accounts globally to UK spying
The secret order would give the UK access to encrypted backups belonging to any user — not just Brits.
