I agree, but if they were to reboot just the first two, they'd have to do all 3, and then there'd be style mismatches everywhere. They would just have to go from scratch completely, and then that erased Monty's involvement with the show at all.

I could rant about this for ages, but it's really obvious that people who have never even sniffed an animation production, or how it works, or how much they physically bent a program to force it to work for them. It is a MIRACLE RWBY even existed in the first place lol

Not to mention a reboot would completely erase Monty's history in the show. You have gotten reboots, multiple times. Go read the manga, or the other manga, or the OTHER mangas, or Ice Queendom. All of them could be considered soft reboots.

Which is partially why I don't understand why people want a reboot. Like, do you just want to go back to Beacon? There wasn't a story in volume 1, not really. Volume 2 was better, but still wasn't great. Volume 3 was the only real story based volume.

I think people mix up nostalgia a lot with the show being good. It's like being an adult and saying "I wish I could be a kid again", but being a kid again means no income, no freedom, etc. You just want freedom, maybe nostalgia.

I know people are always like "they should go back to poser" and I will never understand that. Poser in volumes 1 and 2 looked dreadful, including the textured crunchy models. Volume 3 is the only exception and that was pushing poser beyond its limits.
