Brazil’s $125bn forest fund – framed as the “biggest thing to come out of COP30” – goes live tomorrow.

Critics point out that TFFF “puts private investors first”, forest payouts last + sets a 🌳 bar too low to be “scientifically credible”.

“Extreme” wildfires emitted more than 8bn tonnes of carbon dioxide during the 2024-25 “global fire season”, according to the annual “state of wildfires” report. 👩🏽‍🚒🌳

Fires burned at least 3.7m square kilometres of land – an area larger than India.

The latest EAT Lancet report finds that a global shift towards a "planetary health diet” 🥕🐟 could cut agri emissions by 15% by 2050

It proposes:

- A plant-based diet, limited intake of meat and dairy, and other foods

- Access to just food systems
