Never had more interaction on a post ever than that ironing one. Bit scared of some of the answers tbqhwy. I like an ironed quilt cover. Silk pillowcases. I’m clearly in the minority.

Imagine waiting for your husband, brother or son to return from 24mths as a hostage tomorrow. I doubt anyone in Israel will go to work, they’ll be glued to the TV. What a day.

Stuff does dry outside if you pick your days & have a load of gear (see gym kit) but yes, I’ve a clothes horse & a real fire for the darkest of weeks. I love stuff dried in front of fire. Makes me feel like a child again coz mam used to do it.

Although I agree about the gulag bit, I also disagree. I have bamboo & silk bedlinen & honestly believe I’d sleep worse if not ironed. Body heat ain’t sorting that.

People who don’t iron (including my siblings) …how? How are jeans un crumpled? My quilt cover? I loathe it & used to send it out but then Covid happened & her & the cleaner went & just never got back into the groove. So how do you not iron?
