What’s up with this? I can only guess it’s intentional? Because they check our comic stuff down to the pixel and I mean TO THE PIXEL, so it’s baffling that they missed this.

I would guess the scandal around Paul Reubens caused the movie to be quietly buried. It definitely pulls off (no pun intended) a fairly unique mix of serious and realistic sci fi with a fun kids movie.

People like to think the past is long gone and doesn’t affect the now. It’s still right here, right now. The tiny (but important) strides we’ve made toward equality and basic decency are a minuscule blip, and possibly unique, in all of human history. Too many are foaming to stop that progress.

Harrison Ruffin Tyler (November 9, 1928 – May 25, 2025) was an American preservationist and archivist. Tyler was the last surviving grandchild of the tenth U.S. president, John Tyler (1790–1862).
