I now spend 48 hours a week holding this grandchild because she won’t sleep unless held and rocked, and she gets bored and screams after 5 minutes of any activity.

On a related note, do you imagine that writers and artists on a certain comic about a certain blue hedgehog get paid extra for the numerous and sometimes extensive and repeated changes they’re asked to make on said comic?

The moral is: art is work and it deserves paid for the same as if a client wanted a finished wall torn down and rebuilt.

It’s a 2017 model and
It’s kinda neat in that it’s ultra base model with manual windows and locks. I’m surprised it actually has a cd player and my phone connects via Bluetooth to make calls but not for music? It does handle nicely and I’ll be glad of the mileage which was a major factor I wanted.

Of course everyone deserves peace, respect and decency for its own sake because it’s the right thing to do, but we all need to look out for our vulnerable neighbors because allowing others to suffer only makes communities and people poorer and meaner.

The point being that we’re all connected in ways we can’t imagine. If their family has been torn apart, I don’t imagine it would have lined up for me to find the car I needed. Maybe it’s glib and obvious to say, but when others hurt, it hurts you too

if she had been separated from her family or deported I can only imagine how it would have destroyed their world. They’re clearly a nice couple living in a nice apartment and making the progress we all strive for. Their car is the only one I’ve been able to find in my price range that wasn’t beat up

which in turn allowed him to save up to buy new vehicles for himself and his wife which is why this one was for sale. The wife works at the Hyundai plant near here in Georgia and was there the day of the ICE raid, but she managed not to be taken away

A little story about this car. The couple we got it from only speak Spanish. A friend of ours translated over the phone so we could fill out the title and bill of sale. The man told her the car is special to him because he bought it when he first moved to the US and it allowed him to drive to work
