Vere from Touchstarved is yanking Genesis (my oc) closer to him to sniff up close and personal by his neck. Does the curse have long-term effects?

When it comes to humans, MC’s touch results in the permanent destruction of the mind. Soulless are a different story. The curse seems to only pacify them for a short period of time.

So it's unclear if the Senobium is right or wrong to have chained him (intentionally from the writers, ofc). But, Vere doesn't strike me as the most forgiving (to say the least). I think he might go on a rampage if he was unleashed, with a lot of people caught in the crossfire.

But on the other hand, if he was demanding sacrifices in the past or terrorizing people until they worshiped him.. that's pretty problematic and it wouldn't be great for him to have gone unchecked. The god-to-demon pipeline doesn't seem like his reign was very merciful...hedonism can be destructive.

On one hand, it's awful that he's enslaved-morally+the Senobium may make him kill innocents, or even MC, Leander or Ais as their respective coalitions grow in power (Bloodhounds/Seaspring) and challenge the Senobium (becoming "dissidents").
