2021 - 2022 - 2023 - 2024

I'm still trying to finish a painting for 2025 since most of my work this year are concept sketches...so have these 4 instead!

"Coronation of the Undead" (2021) An original piece depicting Titania, Queen of the Fairies as she crowns her resurrected human lover. They're surrounded by bats and a variety of fay creatures. The illustration is colored in ghostly pale greens.

"The Familiars" (2022) Illustration of two cat familiars surrounded by purple and pink wisterias on a gradient background of red. The cats belong to my DnD OC (a tiefling rogue/bard) and his husband (an elf sorcerer).

One cat is pale blue with spotted patterns mimicking a snow leopard. This cat is actually two since they have diprosopus/are a Janus Cat and thus have two faces (they have 3 eyes and share the middle one).

The other cat is mostly dark blue with even darker stripes. The ears are long like caracal wild cats and has a jade gem on their forehead. Similar to "nekomata" from Japanese myths, they possess two tails as well.

"Hades & Persephone" (2023) A bust portrait of the King and Queen of the Underworld from Greek Mythology. Fun fact: This piece took 7-8 years for me to finish as a I developed my skills!

The couple affectionately lean on each other as they are framed by Cerberus, the hound of Hades and their mane of snakes, twisting with golden branches of a pomegranate tree. The dog heads and snakes of Cerberus vary between 3 colors: white, black and red, in reference to a depiction of them on an ancient greek hydria.

Hades appears with a semi-skeletal teal face and darker teal hair. His clothes are in dark and pale greens, with a serpent brooch and crown of cypress branches (symbols associated with the god of the dead).

Persephone has tan skin, a warmth to contrast the deathly cool colors of her husband. Her eyes are pale pink with irises of an even bolder magenta. She has long pale green hair in a warmer hue, and its braided up high with some strands cascading down her shoulders. Narcissus flowers are woven through her hair (the flower she is said to have been picking when she is taken by Hades). She also wears earrings and a necklace of "ears of wheat" as a goddess of grain and in honor of her mother Demeter, goddess of harvest and agriculture.

"Those United in a Common Cause" (2024) A draft for a painting I wanted to depict of my favorite moment/boss fight in the Elden Ring DLC Shadow of the Erdtree. The title is in reference to the theme song of the battle. (NOTE: SPOILERS AHEAD)

The entire piece glows with gold except for the figures battling in the foreground in a contrast of purple and blue hues.

In the background is the demigod Miquella the Kind, a towering figure of pale gold. He creates one of his crescent crosses where he "sheds his flesh", a process to sacrifice parts of his former self in an effort to achieve godhood.

In the lower foreground creating an arched movement are several of the main characters of the DLC. In the middle is the tarnished Raging Wolf, jumping in mid attack with the Bolt of Gransax, a glowing giant spear-like weapon shaped like tangled lightning. Below him fighting back to back are his sole allies: Ansbach and Thiollier.

Ansbach slices at his two foes (Freyja and Leda) with his scythe enchanted with a bloody incantation. Freya evades the flaming blood as she jumps to slice Ansbach with her greatsword. Fast approaching behind them is Leda with her sword drawn.

Thiollier drowns his attackers in a flurry of his green poison as he attempts to stab the Hornsent with a needle weapon, who dodges under with his two blades readied for an attack. Behind the Hornsent is Moore in his verdigris armor holding a massive shield above. Further back is the agile Dryleaf Dane making an effort to dodge the poison.
