Last week I met with Salford Youth Council as part of my ongoing campaign to improve outcomes and opportunities for young people with SEND.
The young people shared some interesting perspectives and ideas, which I’ll be taking back to Westminster. Their voices are powerful and deserve to be heard.

After a meeting in Salford, I signed the book of condolence for the two victims of the horrific attack at Heaton Park Shul last week.
My thoughts are with their families and the wider community. There is no place for hatred or violence in our society. We must stand together against it.

This morning’s news of a ceasefire in #Gaza brings a small but precious glimmer of hope after nearly two years of unimaginable suffering.

Now must come justice, peace and rebuilding for the Palestinian people.
