Great turnout at Bolton's Armistice Day memorial this morning, with the Town Hall and Market Place beautifully decorated. Over 2,500 in Bolton South and Walkden have served in our armed forces. I want to thank them all for their sacrifices to keep us safe.

Today, on Armistice Day, we pause for two minutes’ silence to remember all who fought and gave their lives for our country and freedoms. I especially honour those from Bolton South & Walkden, and across the UK, who serve or have served in our Armed Forces. Your courage and sacrifice will live on.

Awaab’s Law will support over 13,000 people in Bolton South and Walkden by requiring social landlords to quickly fix hazardous homes. Emergency hazards must be addressed within 24 hours, especially Damp and Mould. This is for Awaab Ishak and upholds tenants’ rights to safe homes.
