As long as the Steam survey have been there. People played games on crappy builds because they didn't need expensive builds to play their game. Don't underestimate CS and League. The people that complains about perfs and bother about the top of the line GPU are a minority.

And the problem is that the websites aren't the one being contacted. It's the payment that is being targetted. Exchanging money without Mastercard/Visa/Paypal is just not sustainable with our internet and they are the one being pressured.

Yeah. I've seen suddenly a lot more reddit post using them in recent times, including in post where people do admit they've used ChatGPT.
I know a lot of writers are nerds and will use the right thing for the right stuff, but the random person asking how to get to a place isn't going to do that.
