No idea how far the WSL #FreeBSD port is but imho brilliant idea. sad how #BSD projects never took off & def would love them on #Windows Subsystem for #Linux
kinda wish #Microsoft pushed more than #Linux & others like #openbsd, maybe as alternative full #Virtualization

When #Phishing/ #socialEngineering at a high, It should not have to be said, don't give info to strangers on the phone, don't download random apps or even visit sites for your #security. Do your due diligence. Expect #ransomware and #socialengineering #security threats to increase

Maybe missing something in Roadmap/ #vision but just don't see huge #market. Technically cool but They probably need a better story for their #product

IMHO it's just a IMHO different way of thinking... I don't think it limits abilities because of plenty very highly functional and very successful ones too.
Just different with a different way to express themselves, work and learn.
That said, I agree, disability is not a bad word

too many #ai rushed to #prod to add buzz w/ no safeguard/ malicious prompt not considered in #threat modeling/ #security issues waiting to happen
ai useful but many over-hype & ignore risk when should know better
Have realistic view/ expectations of potential costs/risk esp if chatbot involved

As more people treat #ai #llm as #Databases w/ facts I expect more issues like this to emerge/ disrupt not just libraries & cause more overhead due to incorrect facts treated as truth

AI can be very useful but key to double check accuracy of responses. most importantly, chatbot not a database

There seems to be a continuous stream of #security issues w/ #npm packages that needs to be solved urgently
To be fair supply chain #attacks can happen when you #trust any #code #programming language #packages, made worse by #Vibe #coding but things seem particularly bad in the #Javascript ecosystem

100% anecdotal but seeing increase in #recruiter emails, sobering posts about ai (like 90% #ai deploy fail rate mit post) & even Altman sat we're in ai bubble & less #agi talk. hoping delusional hype that all workers replaced within months is cooling down. Hoping 🙏 wisdom bubbles up to the top

Hot take: Social #Security info too easily available esp as never meant as id number to give everywhere. Esp true w/ data breaches in connected world/ impossible to change

There are things human still get easily that AI can still be fooled. There's a reason 95%+ #ai deployments a failure (MIT): AI has uses & can be very useful but it's #code being rushed, untested & in areas not ready yet

Tempting to be childish/nuke server/quit w/o notice esp if tense or unfair but illegal/Big issue in ref check

-Give proper notice if quit
-Always document things
-Transfer tasks/ info
-leave door opened w/ old colleagues

a small world & bad reference can really hurt later

We definitely the next tipping point but meanwhile we really need to decrease energy usage/compute power considering the brain🧠 at 200w/day outperforms clusters at some tasks
IMHO lot innovation possible in that direction as demonstrated abroad by deepseek when limits placed on compute
