I associate urns with a turn away from images of the dead and the afterlife to a greater focus on mourning and memory. So it’s interesting to see @graveyardarch.bsky.social’s favorite hexfoils, a symbol to protect the soul of the dead, alongside an urn.

One time I was out with a vegetarian friend who was interested in jackfruit tacos on the restaurant menu. She asked the waiter what jackfruit tasted like and he, of stoned body and mind but pure of heart, said:

“I don’t know…jackfruit…tastes like jackfruit!”

And he was right!
