@zachweinersmith.bsky.social so, confession, I bought Bea Wolf a while ago but hadn't gotten around to reading it. My son just wasn't interested and I was busy.
Cut to: this weekend. He's curious. I'm happy. But now he wants me to read it at bedtime.

@tkingfisher.com I saw your name in Nov. Amazon First Reads email & clicked "read now" so fast I didn't process that it was a book I'd already pre-ordered & that in doing so it cancelled said pre-order. I know preorders are important for book "placement", how does the first-reads thing work w/that?

I was gonna come on here and complain I can't buy tickets to the Renfaire this year because they sold out too fast but then I read all the other things happening and I guess that doesn't really even rate

@wilwheaton.net y'know.... There was a period where I kinda lost track of what you were doing, between the end of tabletop and finding bluesky. And frankly, that was a shame and I forgot how much I like you. Glad to have found you again.

you bastards.
Listening to the audiobook of "when the moon hits your eye" and I've been crying pretty much non-stop from day 23 to day 29.

@scalzi.com if I had a nickel for every time you referenced my town in one of your books I'd have two nickels. Which is a full doofenschmirtz. What the heck?

xAI is blaming Grok's unsolicited "white genocide" rants on an unauthorized change. take a moment to consider the pains they would have gone through to mention the person responsible had been fired... if the person responsible wasn't Elon.

@productivityalchemy.com just wanted to share: your Scotty/geordi blog post from the before times has provided me with a great metaphor and set of talking points for *many* interviews and generally lets me sound smarter than I am when discussing company growth.

Genuinely tempted to scrub my online everything.
I'm starting to be scared that being openly progressive is going to be a death sentence in the very near future.
