A little East Coast thrash to start the day with the band Whiplash. Sophomore album is called Ticket To Mayhem and is a solid album. They are definitely overshadowed by a lot of their contemporaries. #Whiplash

New album from Greyhawk released today. Latest album is titled Warriors of Greyhawk & is a nice addition to their discography. This NWOTHM/Power Metal band is from Seattle and I got to see them live a year or so ago & I'm glad to see new music from them. They were friendly & energetic. #Greyhawk

This Is Exile is the second album from Whitechapel and it's a banger. I saw Whitechapel for the first time in 2012 and the first song I heard at that show was Possession from this album. They have only gotten better since then. #Whitechapel

Trivium is such an amazing band that has definitely transformed over the years. Their second album, Ascendancy, just hits all the right spots for a metalcore album and cemented them as a band to pay attention to. Phenomenal band. #Trivium

I remember hearing Otep for the 1st time with the song Blood Pigs & falling in love with this band. I was so looking forward to their next album, House of Secrets, & it did not disappoint. Saw them live in Seattle a couple times in these early years, great shows. @otepofficial.bsky.social #Otep

Australian band Wicked Smile with a new album today, When Night Falls. I enjoyed this album & as I was listening to it was reminded of another band. Took me a minute & realized that it has a Savatage feel to it. Liked the songs Face of the Wicked, Walking The Wire, & Night Time Riders. #WickedSmile
I forget how much I like Mudhoney until I listen to Mudhoney. Their second studio album is Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge and has that fuzzy sound that I love. Great record! #Mudhoney

if more people listened to the Melvins I think they would fall in love with them. Sophomore album from them is Ozma and is terrific. Definitely see the connection to sludge metal on this album. #Melvins

What an amazing second album Nightmare Logic is from Power Trip. Tragically this would be Riley Gale's last album due to his death. This album is so raw and powerful, just a great album. #PowerTrip

It's very hard not to compare this sophomore album from Exhorder to another band in the Thrash/Groove metal scene from the early 90's. The Law is a fantastic album if you need that sound! Definitely feel that Exhorder is underappreciated. #Exhorder

Debut album from Denmark's Hellmaze. Album is titled Dead Flesh Rising and is a nice Modern Thrash album. I enjoyed the songs Slave, Killing Time, & K.F.T. and look forward to what they do moving forward. Great sense of humor as well with the song Moshpit Bukkake. #Hellmaze

Think I'll keep the NWOBHM music going. Killers is the last Iron Maiden album with Paul Di'Anno as the lead singer. This sophomore album is outstanding in every way. I do come back to this album quite often, always worth the listen. #IronMaiden

Amazing record, Louder Than Love, that was the precursor to Badmotorfinger. This is my favorite era of Soundgarden because they sounded so heavy. Big Dumb Sex is a standout on this one. #Soundgarden

Megadeth & the final studio album, which is self-titled. I tried hard to love this album as it's supposed to be the last one. Another Bad Day is a good song I enjoyed. Their cover of Metallica's, Ride The Lightning, is a full circle moment & is awesome. Overall I think the album is mid. ##Megadeth

Keeping the trash going with Death Angel. Such a great band with lots of great songs. Frolic Through The Park is their sophomore album and is not necessarily beloved by the band. I think it sounds great! #DeathAngel

Sepultura and the album Schizophrenia. I think this album gets slept on because the next 4 albums are so great. That time frame of the 80's has a lot of great metal albums that helped define a genre. #Sepultura

Changing gears a little with some Deathcore from the band Ov Sulfur. The new album is Endless and it's fantastic. I've been listening to Vast Eternal for a while now since it was on their EP from late last year. Definitely worth the listen! #OvSulfur
