I've recently found out there is a "Don't ask, don't tell" with professional AI use. Artists get blocked when asked, and called witch-hunts, but it's known AI use, and they just want to use AI, while still claiming 100% human made.

2/2 but who will speak out against AI for the future artists? I’m against the mentality of “I’m secure in my field so I’m not going to create ripples”. If not you, then who? Who are the ones keeping AI from being normalized? Not you.

I feel defeated often. This won’t “take care of itself”.

I saw a post saying “I’d like to hire an artist for my cover, bc of the AI backlash. I don’t want to hire an artist that is openly against AI however”.

Here is the thing: they would use AI if not for the backlash. They are weaponizing artists speaking out against AI as a bad thing. 1/2
