I need to pick up MonHun Wilds again especially after the latest update. I also wanna get back into rhythm games but I don't know which one to focus on.
Unfortunately, I kind of gave up on 3D fighters but I'll definitely give the new VF a spin when it comes out.

I've been picking up Percival again cause I want to play him with his new costume and I can't help but wonder how I got to Master with him in the first place.

The Game Awards was pretty nice this year! A lot of game announcements I was excited for with a few unexpected ones.
I know people bag on the show for being a 4-hour long series of ads but I enjoy learning about games even in genres I don't play.

2013 - Started studying JP in my senior year of hs
2015 - Took JP classes at uni (considered taking N3 and working up from there but said screw it and just aimed for N1)
2023 - Failed N1
2024 - Passed N1
Took me like 10 years but I did it lmao

I'll get to DQ II eventually but I'm thinking of playing Tales of Rebirth next!

It's funny how I went from playing SF6 and COTW earlier in the year to going back to UNI2 and discovering E's Laf 2 by the end. And I'm still playing GBVSR.

I was just thinking of getting a new PC and here comes the Steam Machine. There's a lot of negativity around Windows 11 as well so this seems like a good chance to try out a Linux-based OS.

I got 2nd in the final round of Group A for the Leo Cup! Not bad considering I didn't do too much grinding for this one.
Now I gotta learn the Unity Cup scenario for the next Champions Meeting!

Round 2 was a lot tougher to no one's surprise but I was able to end today's attempts with a 4-1! Group A Finals here we come!

I've been busy lately so I haven't had as much time to raise umas as before but I'm glad I still made it to Group A! Nice Nature's debuffs were really effective especially if she's the only debuffer.
On to the next round!

In other news, I completed the main story of Pokemon Legends: Z-A! There's still end game content and side quests to do but I'll come back to it when the DLC comes out.
The battle system was a breath of fresh air, the story was great, and I loved the character designs!

For now, I'll be grinding away at my retail job. At least I'll have money saved if I do get a job in localization in the future (I've been meaning to move out of Florida anyway).
I want to work in localization for JP media but I don't know how to break into the industry. Experience is always a plus but entry level positions are few and far between so how do I gain experience?
Game fan translations? Manga scanlations?
Would employers even look at that as legit experience?
