Facts.
I recently shifted focus from the book I'm writing to a short story set in the same world for an upcoming writing contest. The ramifications of the side story are still felt in the time of the book. I've found that fleshing out that story is informing my writing in great ways. Win-win!

I joined a few Discord servers for writers recently, hoping to find a tribe, a group of people to share the experience with, and they all have me feeling bummed out. Discord makes me feel socially awkward when I’m not socially awkward irl.
