Both women expected an answer - and deserved one - but saying yes to one was no to the other, and the thought of that pulled tears to their eyes faster than the biting wind. So they made a non-decision again, moving further away from both of them so their smoke streamed away from Moxy. "Did you make any progress on your painting at least?" Rose asked.

It took all of what, like a week to get back together with her? Did you even think about what that would do to me? Was I really just a rebound? Don't say anything."

The telescope pointed directly at their living room window was merely set up to see Jupiter. The slightly askew furniture a few weeks ago had been from their vacuuming, and they'd misaligned their chair.
